Welcome to our Sacramental Page. Mrs Dawson is our Religious Education Lead and works closely with our Year 3 teacher, Mrs Jones, to support and prepare children for the Sacraments of Reconciliation and the Eucharist.
Baptised children who attend St Teresa’s RC Primary School are eligible to receive the Sacraments of Reconciliation and Holy Communion. These sacraments are important and meaningful stages in a child’s spiritual journey and are celebrated as special occasions within the St Teresa’s school family.
Mrs Dawson leads parent meetings after school to support families during the preparation process for Reconciliation and Holy Communion. During these sessions, children work with Mrs Jones using their sacramental preparation books. Elements of sacramental preparation are also taught through the Religious Education curriculum, with additional support provided through the Sacramental Sunflower Club led by Mrs Dawson and supported by the GIFT Chaplaincy Team.
Through this preparation, children learn about forgiveness, reconciliation and the importance of communion with God. They are given opportunities to take part in special services and experiences, including Advent Reflection Stations and the Breaking of Bread service.
Father Anthony celebrates Mass in school at key points throughout the year and warmly welcomes families to worship at our parish church, St John’s.
